Gear Operated Roller Shutter Door
The counter balance Gear Operated Roller Shutter Doors is the most popular choice. The door is operated by means of a crank handle, which consists of a gearbox with a handle at the bottom and a down-rod (vertical pipe) extending from the gearbox towards the shaft (attached to the crown wheel and pinion).
The 5:1 ratio gearbox delivers smooth operation. It can be utilized on all types of Roller Shutter Doors up to approximately 5 meter in height.
The Gear drive requires lateral space next to the opening of approximately .400 mm to accommodate the handle swing.
Through-wall Gearbox
It is a special design gearbox, which is mostly used on sites where a Roller Shutter Door is fitted on the inside of a building/opening and the client wants to open the door from the outside or Vice Versa. The actual gearbox is fitted on the inside of the opening with a shaft through the wall, enabling outside operation and locking.
